a gift for Melissa

3-D textural felt

 

This abstract piece is a gift that I made for my daughter’s birthday.  We were celebrating her birthday at a cozy French restaurant in downtown Portland when I gave it to her. This is what would be called a 3-D textured art piece. It is about 5 inches square, all hand felted with wool spikes and a volcano shaped crater on a white background that was embellished with silk and bamboo threads.
